Due to the insistent requests and ever-increasing pleas jamming my inbox(not withstanding my inner turmoil to keep up with the Jones's), I have succumbed to the peer pressure and have created a blog. Yes, dear friends and family, now I have another excuse not to keep in touch, and can justly reply: "Visit our blog!!" Now all correspondence will be to the tune of: "You know, it says on your blog that Kate is 9 months old, yet we just went to her high school graduation... Do you think you could update your blog now and then??" No promises.

Let's see... our little family started last century - scratch that - last millenia, back in 1999 when Joey and I were married. I suppose we should actually document our family beginning in 2002 with the birth of Aubrey. Fast forward to 2007 with the addition of baby Kate, and voila! Here we are.
Joey has been working in the real estate field for over three years now and loves it. True, the market right now is about as busy as the Beta repair shop, but he still enjoys the work and the extra time he gets to spend with his girls. I work part time as a dental hygienist, and full time as a mom-in-training. Still haven't got it all down, and with two little drama queen girls so far, need to constantly evolve. My mom just says, "It's payback time," while stifling a snicker... what does that mean?
We moved into our new house in Gilbert back in June. We LOVE it here, and I never want to move again, if possible. It might very well be a case of sheer laziness, but moving with kiddos is the pits. Well maybe I should say packing the entire house while 8 months pregnant, and being stuck in an empty house with a bored 4 year old and a colicky 8 week old for 2 months, is the pits. Trust me. So believe me when I say we are thrilled to finally be here!
Aubrey is 5 years old and started kindergarten this year. She is smart as a whip, but her teacher has gotten a taste or two of her Chelsea-like stubborn streak. So she'll pass with flying colors all while witnessing her name being written on the board on a daily basis. Quite a combination.
Kate is 9 months old today, and is a bit more laid back in personality. Chubby and smiley, she can't wait to wake up every morning (and sometimes night, too) to go exploring. She is constantly stressing out our happy golden retriever, Maggie, by stealing her doggie toys instead of playing with her own baby toys. Maggie looks on with pleading eyes and paces back and forth, whining. She wouldn't hurt a fly, and has no idea what to do about this pint-sized burglar.
This fall, us sisters and sister-in-laws tried to put together a cute fall picture of the grandkids. Let's just say it's the thought that counts. It's hard enough to get one kid to cooperate for a photo, let alone nine. What's funny is that the most exuberant kid in the picture, Lauren (bottom right), is also wedged behind a pumpkin to hold her in place! She's totally trapped and still happy as pie!
